10:00am
675 Plainfield St, Providence
The “Great Hill of Neutaconkanut”, the highest point (and, in our opinion, the best kept secret) of Providence, was actually the northwest boundary in the land agreement between Roger Williams and the Narragansett Sachems.
This hike is about 2 miles long and is challenging for children.
We will meet in the parking lot by the pool, playground, and skate park at 10:00am and start our hike promptly at 10:15am. Be sure to bring sunblock and bug spray, as well as plenty of snacks and water. Long pants tucked into long socks are highly recommended! Click here for a list of guidelines for hiking with kids.
