Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge
Touisset Road, Warren
At 66 acres, Touisset Marsh is one of the smaller wildlife refuges in the state. But the salt marshes, hardwood forests, meadows, and Kickemuit River really pack a punch. Start your walk at the northwestern corner of the parking lot and walk counterclockwise around the refuge, bearing to your right at each intersection to stay on the perimeter.
Length: 1.1 miles
Difficulty: easy for children
Dogs: to protect the fragile ecology of the refuge, please leave your dogs at home
You might want to bring: long pants, long socks, and bug spray
