Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge
Touisset Road, Warren


At 66 acres, Touisset Marsh is one of the smaller wildlife refuges in the state. But the salt marshes, hardwood forests, meadows, and Kickemuit River really pack a punch. Start your walk at the northwestern corner of the parking lot and walk counterclockwise around the refuge, bearing to your right at each intersection to stay on the perimeter.

Get directions or follow ours: Take Route 195 East into Massachusetts. Take exit 3 for Route 6. At the end of the exit ramp, make a left onto 6 West and travel 0.2 mile. Make a left onto Maple Ave and continue straight onto Pearse Road. At a sharp curve to your right, the road will change to Barton Ave. In 0.6 mile, turn left onto Touisset Rd. Follow it south to the second sharp left corner at the fire station. Turn right into the parking lot area.
