Join the Richmond Rural Preservation Land Trust (RRPLT) on Sunday, October 23 at 10:00am, to celebrate the grand opening of the Stetson Preserve trail at 137 New London Turnpike, Wyoming. The Stetson Preserve was donated to the RRPLT in 2000 from the Stetson Family and The Nature Conservancy. The seventeen acre parcel contains a lovely mixed forest with old stone walls and remnants of former farm practices. A small stream on the property is a tributary to the Beaver River, which is one of the rivers currently under study for the National Wild and Scenic River System. After a brief ceremony and ribbon cutting RRPLT will lead participants on a hike on the property on the less than one mile trail.
Click here for a copy of the trail map on the RRPLT page of the Richmond Town Website. This trail is under 1 mile round trip with a side trail to a little overlook. It is very suitable for young kids. Contact RRPLT Chairperson, Denise Poyer, firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
