We’re joining with the RI DEM for a First Day Hike – a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks to encourage people to get outdoors. Once an amusement park for over 100 years, Rocky Point is now a state park with walking trails, coastal views, and open fields and even some remnants of the rides and attractions. We’ll take an easy, 2-mile walk along the paved trail. Strollers and leashed dogs welcome!

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and wear hiking boots. Parking is available across the street from 415 Palmer Avenue. Registration is encouraged but not required. For more information or to register, contact Felicia Celeberto at Felicia.celeberto@dem.ri.gov.
