61 Camp Yawgoog Road, Rockville

Not usually open to the general public, Camp Yawgoog has an extensive network of hiking trails through more than 1,800 acres of rugged, beautiful landscape that includes three large ponds. Marc Cardin of the Narragansett Council of the Boy Scouts of America will be joining us.

This hike is about 2.5 miles long and involves some rugged, steep terrain. It can be challenging for young or inexperienced hikers.

We will meet at the Bucklin Memorial Building at 10:00am and start our hike by 10:15am. Please wear sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing and bring plenty of water and snacks. You might want to bring lunch also. Click here for a list of guidelines for hiking with kids.
