Moorehouse Road, Westerly

Join us as we explore the Wahaneeta Preserve, a holding of the Westerly Land Trust (WLT). There will be multiple leaders for this hike so you can choose the distance and speed that is best for your family. Afterwards enjoy hot cocoa and trail mix with us compliments of the WLT. We will also be selling copies of our family hiking book so you can get a jump on your holiday shopping.

Please park well within the preserve, about 400 feet down the driveway once you pass the Wahaneeta Preserve sign. There is absolutely no parking on the dirt road before you reach the sign as this is private property.

Also for this hike, an exciting opportunity!
You can earn 5,000 points at this hike through the Zoo’s Nature Swap. Participants in the program bring in natural “found” items to collect points for swapping with items in their collection. Find out more information here.
