1127 Frenchtown Rd, East Greenwich, 401-886-8645
This quiet little gem doesn’t get a lot of attention, but it is easy to hike and quite beautiful. Not too far from Main Street, and abutting residential developments, there are 125 acres to explore, including well marked trails, a scenic pond, streams, and an old mill.
The park is on the grounds of the old Tillinghast factory, where cotton thread was manufactured beginning in the early 1800s. Kids and adults will love looking for the remains of old houses, a well, bridges, stone walls, and gardens.
