Tillinghast Pond Management Area
Plain Road, West Greenwich

At nearly 2,000 acres, the Tillinghast Pond Management Area is The Nature Conservancy’s largest land holding in the state. Along with Arcadia and Wickaboxet Management Areas, and the University of Rhode Island’s W. Alton Jones campus, Tillinghast helps connect 40,000 acres of protected forest spanning the Rhode Island–Connecticut border. There are magnificent oak and pine woodlands, gorgeous views of Tillinghast Pond, and excellent opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. There are also many interconnecting trails, making Tillinghast Pond a property you can revisit again and again.
