George B. Parker Woodland
1670 Maple Valley Rd, Coventry

Parker Woodland is an 860-acre Audubon refuge extending into Foster, with magnificent old forests, meadows, and brooks. The enticement for children and adults alike, however, is the presence of mysterious piles of delicately balanced stones, called cairns, which have been there for centuries.

Length: 1.5 miles; 4.5 miles if you extend you complete the blue loop
Difficulty: challenging for children
Dogs: to protect the fragile ecology of the refuge, please leave your dogs at home
