Spruce Acres Farm
1286 East Main Road, Middletown

Given that this 23-acre property was once a Christmas tree farm, you might be surprised at how diverse and lush the vegetation is. The Aquidneck Land Trust has done a really wonderful job marking the 1.5 miles of trails with red, orange, yellow, and blue markers, which offer a great opportunity to teach colors to really little ones. There are community gardens, a picnic area, educational signage, and a neat signpost marking the boundary between Middletown and Portsmouth. Kids (and adults!) of all ages will enjoy jumping back and forth from town to town.

Length: 1.1 miles; can extend up to 1.5 miles
