Casimir Pulaski Memorial State Park

This 100-acre park offers trails, picnic tables, a comfort station, and a beach at Peck Pond, which make it the perfect place for a summer hike. After this 1.3-mile hike, enjoy a yummy picnic, change into your suits, and cool off in the pond. There’s even a lifeguard on duty! For cross-country skiers and snowshoers, be sure to return in the winter to take advantage of the 10 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails that lead into the adjacent George Washington Management Area.

Length: 1.3 miles; up to 10.0 miles if you extend along cross-country ski trails
Difficulty: easy for children
Dogs: are welcome, so long as they are leashed and you clean up after them
