Great Swamp Management Area
277 Great Neck Road, South Kingstown

The 3,000+ acres of wetlands, woodlands, and meadows of the Great Swamp Management Area abut beautiful Worden Pond. Go in the early spring or fall to see the many species of migrating birds and to avoid the oppressive heat that can accompany the wide-open space. The trails at Great Swamp are quite wide and easy to walk; you’re pretty much following a tire marked dirt road the entire time. However, since the path is not marked, be sure to consult the map often.
