Mount Tom
Mt. Tom Road, Exeter

Ironically, the least exciting part of the Mt. Tom Trail in Arcadia Management Area is the summit, which is north of Route 165 (Ten Rod Road) and involves nearly a mile of long, straight, flat paths. But before reaching the summit, you’ll experience a rigorous hike and spectacular views from the Ledges scenic overlook.

Length: 1.5 miles; 2.4 miles if you extend to Route 165; 4.0 miles if you extend all the way to Barber Road
Difficulty: challenging for kids
Dogs: are welcome, so long as they are leashed and you clean up after them
Note: fluorescent orange requirements apply for all users during the hunting season (learn more)
