Crawley Preserve
Glen Rock Road, Richmond
A joint effort of the Richmond Rural Land Conservation Trust and the South Kingstown Land Trust, Crawley Preserve is a splendid property. Although a relatively short distance, the rugged paths and convoluted trails can be challenging for some children, and you will probably need more time than you expect to explore these parts. Although Crawley Preserve does not technically allow hunting, it does abut areas that do, so fluorescent orange requirements apply for all users during the hunting season. In addition, some visitors are on horseback, so watch where you step!
Length: 2.0 miles; 3.0 miles if you follow all the trails
Difficulty: challenging for kids
Dogs: are welcome, so long as they are leashed and you clean up after them
Note: Crawley Preserve abuts areas which allow hunting, so fluorescent orange requirements apply for all users during the hunting season (learn more)
